DVD Case

This past weekend gave us some time to work on another project. Stacy had a DVD case when we moved in together. It worked for many years, but it just wasn't doing the job anymore. It was a 4-sided spinning case. With the weight of all our collected DVDs, it just wouldn't spin anymore.
Here is what we built to replace it with. The new stand also holds about 100 more DVDs and gives us more floor space.
A nice advantia pine was used.
3/4 inch dadoes were cut at 1/4 inch deep and used with 1 1/2 inch brads to hold the case together. The height of the DVD shelves is 8 1/2 inches to allow for plenty of finger space above the movies.
This is the first time I used the spray gun that I had lying around. It connects to the air compressor. A very dark ebony stain was used. I think it looks very sharp.
